Codgerz is made up of grandpa's, aging ne're-do-wells, and generally grouchy codgers, who are all originally from the Meigs County, Ohio area.
We were all born into the Blitzkrieg School of Rock, indoctrinated by, formed by, supported by, and constantly encouraged and inspired by the members of the legendary local band Blitzkrieg. We got together a short while ago in order to relive the glory of the Rock and Roll Band and to remind everyone what they've been missing these past few years. Oh, and we also adopted Lyle Moon, a founding member of Blitzkrieg, as a member of our own group. Rock on. And now we've adopted Phil Ohlinger too! Is there such a thing as a "double Rock On" ?
Even though aging and disgruntled, each of us believes we have a duty to ourselves and our friends to play good music for the fun of it. Since that often requires audience participation, we invite you all to join in the fun.
Come out to one of our Play Dates, will ya ?
This said, it must be mentioned that we all owe a huge debt of gratitude - to family and friends, to our musical brothers and sisters in the region, and to our fans. To everyone who helps us, by letting us have the space to do it. For understanding our missed appointments, for forgiving our shirked responsibilities. Everything that is "part and parcel" of being able to make the time to practice and play music in the busy world we live in. Simply put, we can not do this, without your support.

About the members:
Rusty joined Codgerz cuz he's crazy like that. Straight outta Meigs County, he's been slinging guitar for 25 years - whether a dive bar or festival or in the studio he brings passion, attitude, and a whole lotta rock to every show. With background all over the place, he's the "Scoundrel of Sling" we all need.
Phil may be the most mild mannered of the Codgerz, but he's earned a place, given he's been jamming over 50 years in every dive bar this side of hell. He's also a founding member of Blitzkrieg, leader of Phil and The Thrill, shared a stage with Tiny Tim - and is involved in many local music events too.
Brian has been searching for the beat since 1980. We're not going to discourage him, but maybe it's time to find another hobby....
Update: Tony disappeared again, on "Sabbatical" or an alien ship or wherever the hell he is, we hope not for 20 more years...
Tony disappeared over 20 years ago and no one is sure where he went. Or maybe it was 40 years ago. Now he's decided he's 20 years old again. Or maybe it's 40.
Scott hasn't left the farm in 20 years (or is it 40?), patiently and painstakingly building his empire. In fact, it's been so long since he's been in public, we wonder if he has forgotten how entertaining two-legged (human) females can be.
Jeff enjoys happy and energetic music. Which he forgot about for 20 years (40?) during the time he tried out "being a productive member of society". But thankfully that's all over now, because he was recently reminded of the fun he'd been missing, so now his time is "better spent" in practice and Play Dates.
Lyle has been banging on that bass since he was literally a child. He's sort of still childlike to this date. We're not saying that was 40 years ago, but... Lyle has fallen so far into codgery, that he now just seems to mumble incoherently about "young punks" getting off his lawn. We're not sure he even has a lawn.
